Body art, piercing and tattoos are the latest trend nowadays. This style however,has been involved in much debate. The issue is all about the benefits and the risks involved in it. Keeping aside the various controversies, lets look at some of the measures one needs to take when getting a part of the body pierced.
- Clean the area to be pierced with a germicidal soap.
- Sterilize everything that will be used on your body. Most importantly use a sterilized and sharp needle for puncturing and don’t forget to sterilize the jewelry too.
- Make careful choices and follow the professional instructions for healing the pierced area carefully.
- Research well and take your parents’ advice if you are a teen. Parents are never wrong always listen to them.
- Mouth, nose, tongue, cheek and lip piercing can cause most allergies and gum and dental problems later. So think twice before you pierce these areas.
- Certain heart diseases can be aggravated due to piercing. So before piercing take the doctor’s advice.This way you will avoid suffering from any kind of allergies, infections and skin disorders.
- Everything has its risks as well as benefits and Body piecing is no exception.
- Teens should take advice from experienced people and do research about costs and healing time.
- Never let them use the ‘piercing gun’ if it is not sterilized as this may bring about many infections including AIDS.
- Jewelry should be of correct size or it may cause swelling and pain.
- The most common risks in body piercing are bacterial infection, lot of bleeding, allergic reactions, neural damages and thick scarring.
Keep all these factors in mind before taking any steps. This way you will save yourself a lot of trouble and unnecessary pain.

I’m 13 years old and am about to get my nose pierced and I’m working to get the money and its something i really want and i think if you buy it and you really want it go for it
