Body piercing has been a trend among the present generation since the past few years. However, there are several questions raised with regards to its validity and importance in religious realms.

Islam being the most followed and practiced religion in the world, states that body piercing is something, which is out of religious context.

Experts and Scholars of this religion state that body piercing is an act of tampering with Allah’s creation. Allah they state has blessed each human being with a beautiful body and it is every human being’s right to preserve this gift. Women on the other hand are only permitted to pierce their ears so as to beautify themselves and look attractive to their husbands.

They believe that going against Allah’s laws will definitely bring about destruction. Scientifically also it has been proven that piercing the delicate parts of the body like eyelids, lips and tongue definitely brings about infections and other skin disorders. Chances of infections related to ear piercing are very less on the other hand.

Islam prohibits any kind of body piercing with regards to men. The holy prophets also ask the believers, to not copy life styles and behaviors of other people but live in accordance to the laws of Islam.
