Before you get your clitoris (the uppermost part of the vagina, below the top hood of the labia) pierced, there are some important things you should know.
A clitoris should be of good size, a small one will not be able to accommodate jewelry and may cause infection.
When you have your clitoris pierced you should refrain from sexual activity for a period of time. Hard core sex should be prevented even after the healing period is crossed, in order to avoid further complications.
Panties or any tight fitting pants or jeans should be avoided as it may rub against the jewelry and may cause infection.
Keep your vagina clean and cool, so as to avoid any infection.
Always have protected sex, after the piercing, unprotected sex may lead to transmission of STD’s and AIDS.
If proper care is not taken then the infection may spread into the urinary bladder causing one to urinate often, this will be accompanied by a burning sensation.
A clitoris piercing takes a minimum time of 2-12 weeks to heal. Therefore, take all precautionary measures to avoid any kind of infection.
