Should people suffering from epileptic seizures pierce their tongues?
This is a question asked by many people. Before, looking into that issue, let us see what happens during epileptic seizures.
During seizures individuals become unconscious and have foaming in the mouth and tend to bite their tongues. Individuals generally do not seem to remember this and wake up next morning with a swollen tongue and a fatigued body.
Having a tongue piercing is said to be dangerous as people tend to bite their tongue, and unfortunately there is a danger of them biting the piercing. This extreme biting may cause them to break their teeth. Also, there are chances of the broken teeth or the broken metal entering their windpipe and choking them to death.
Your life is more important than your piercing. In such cases of epileptic seizures it is best considered to get a piercing done on any part of the body other than the tongue.
