Daith is that part of the ear that completely comprises of the cartilage. This part if pierced will not harm sense of hearing. However, some tips should be kept in mind.

Bleeding may occur if proper care is not taken. Make sure you keep the following points in mind.

• Do not press the cell phone for too long against the new piercing.
• Do not press your hands against your ears too tight.
• Be careful when you insert the ipod in your ears.
• Rinse the piercing with saline solution twice a day.
• Healing may take around 3 months to 1 year, so don’t try to change the jewelry.
• Be very careful when putting on your clothes; make sure the piercing does not get stuck in the cloth.

Keep these points in mind and have a safe piercing experience.
