It is very important that you choose the right kind of jewelry when you get your body pierced. The wrong choice of jewelry leads to infections, which can prove to be very harmful. Jewelry that shouldn’t be worn are
1) Sterling Silver: Is a wrong choice because when in contact with body tissues and skin this piercing tends to oxidize which can lead to an infection.
2) Plated Gold: A jewelry that is not real gold but has gold plated on it may likely to corrode off. This again may lead to infection.
3) Artificial Jewelry: Are also a complete NO-NO, as they tend to wear off completely, leading to an infection.
The above-mentioned jewelry should be avoided at any cost when you get a piercing freshly done.
