A very common risk of body piercing is the contraction of Hepatitis. The risk of hepatitis is amongst young teenagers who as a group get self-body piercing done. Lack of knowledge causes them to share the same needle thereby increasing the vulnerability to contract this disease.
Also, when getting a piercing done one needs to check if the piercing artist uses a new and sterilized needle. Make sure he uses a new needle to get a piercing done, bottle up all the excitement and be aware of what he/she is doing. This is because using an already used needle can prove to be very dangerous.
Make sure the place you are getting pierced is hygienic and clean. Take care that the setting is a safe place. Check with others who previously have got their piercing done in the studio.
Keep these points in mind and protect yourself from any risk of danger.
