Not just women but even the male gender are resorting to nipple piercing. In case of women the piercing should be done at the base of the areola, whereas in case of men it should be done at the back of the areola.

As the nipple piercing is a surface piercing, extreme care should be taken. One shouldn’t wear tight T-Shirts as it leads to the risk of an infection.

One should also regularly rinse the nipple with saline solution and regularly apply an anti-bacterial ointment.

Also one should wash their hands before touching the piercing.
