Nose Piercing is a very famous form of piercing in various parts of the world. Nose Piercing are of three types.
Nostril Piercing: This is the most common place of piercing amongst men and women of various cultures. In Indian cultures especially young girls on reaching puberty are made to get their nostrils pierced. It is a tradition amongst most of the Indian cultures that is followed until this date. However, in the western cultures, nose piercing is mainly for the sake of style and fashion. For a nostril piercing it is best that one uses a ring or stud as jewelry.
Septum: This piercing is also known as “Bull Ring”, as this style is seen very commonly amongst the cattle. The septum is the cartilage wall, and is placed in between the chambers of the nose. A very sensitive area ,lot of precaution should be taken when this area is pierced.
Bridge Piercing: Also known as “Earl Piercing”, this piercing is done on the surface of the nose, through the bridge of the nose. This piercing is done in between the eyes. This is the hardest area to heal and faces the risk of rejection and takes time to heal.
Amongst these three types choose the one that is most apt for you and then only decide to go in for a piercing.
