Once you get your eyebrow pierced your piercer will give you a whole lot of lists of what to do and what not to do.
Washing your hands before touching the piercing, applying anti bacterial cream and rinsing the piercing in saline solution are mandatory instructions, which when followed will definitely prevent infection.
Apart from these tips there are some instructions, which are often not mentioned and due to which lot of problems are caused at the piercing site.
Some such instructions are as follows
1) Do not seep on your face, the pillow cover has lot of bacteria which may get into the piercing and cause an infection.
2) Do not let any one else touch your piercing, they may not have washed their hands and may transmit a whole lot of bacteria.
3) Do not fidget with your piercing, by turning and twisting it for a period of 6 months.
4) BE careful when putting on your clothes as your piercing may tend to get stuck in your clothes.
5) Do not apply eye make up for at least 6 months, as make up tends to carry lot of bacteria.
6) Do not remove the jewelry for around 6 months as the hole may close and you may have to re pierce yourself again.
7) Take Vitamin C supplements to help prevent risk of infection.
Keep these points in mind and have a safe eyebrow piercing.
