Food That Should Be Taken After A Tongue Piercing

A tongue piercing needs to be taken care of very well. Oral sex, kissing and chewing hard things are a complete no-no.  The pain is so much with the piercing that initially the individual cannot chew anything. However, in spite of all the pain it is extremely essential that one take proper care of the food they eat. It is essential to strengthen the body’s capacity to fight against infections.

Infection in the tongue can lead to further complications as the infection can be carried to the entire body through spit and saliva.

Some nourishing food that individuals can take in is Soups, juices, water melon, mash melon custard, puddings, bananas and of course some ice cream.

After a period of 12 weeks an individual can take in almost anything, but until then solid food should not be taken during the healing period as it tends to fill inside the piercing and cause an infection.
