About Industrial Piercing

Industrial piercing is unique from other body piercings as it is done by piercing two holes on the ear instead of one. This is done on the upper cartilage of the ear right near the head and the other is pierced diagonally opposite to it. These holes are then joined with the help of a straight barbell that looks similar to a dumbbell.

For this you can either sport surgical gold or steel. Many people use a flexible plastic tube during the entire healing period. Most of the piercers recommend the usage of captive bead rings during the healing period. This initial jewelry can be then replaced by a barbell.
